The sport of roller blading is a great way to get exercise and have fun with friends. The equipment for roller blading is less expensive than figure skates, and roller blading is also easier on the joints since much of your weight is distributed on wheels instead of skates. (In fact, many figure skaters take up roller blading as a way to keep fit without hurting their knees or ankles.) But even if you’re a beginner, you can still have fun while roller blading, as long as you take your time and learn the basics properly!
The great thing about rollerblades is that they are fun and easy to learn! Your first time on rollerblades will be an exhilarating ride: you can learn the basic skills, such as stopping, turning, and going straight, in a few hours. Once you master the basics, you can try more advanced moves, such as the hockey stop, the crossover, and the crossover pivot.
